MDLog:/sysadmin - The Journal of a Linux Sysadmin

MDLog:/sysadmin - The Journal of a Linux Sysadmin:
My name is Marius Ducea. I’m living in Romania, in a city called Sibiu, with my
beautiful wife, Anca, which still has the patience to put up with the long hours
I spend in front of the computer.
I have been working as a System
Administrator (sysadmin) for my entire career (about 7 years). I used to work in
various local companies all in the ISP field in positions like system
administrator, network administrator, security specialist, technical manager.
About 2 years ago I have started my own consulting company, and started
freelancing and working on various contract projects. I have ended doing this as
a full time job now and I ended up focusing on my own business than working for
someone else.
Some of the certifications I have earned until now:
Cisco
Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional
(CCNP)
Brainbench.com, UNIX System Administrator (Job
Role)
Brainbench.com, Linux System Administrator
(Job Role)
Brainbench.com, Windows System Administrator
(Job Role)
Brainbench.com, Network Support Specialist
(Job Role)
Brainbench.com, Information Security
Administrator (Job Role)
Brainbench.com, Network Administrator (Job
Role)
Brainbench.com, Web Administrator (BCIP)
www.ducea.com is my own online journal, where I
will share my experience about managing and maintaining Linux servers. You will
find here articles about sysadmin tasks, mostly about Linux, from things I have
done, challenges I have passed, that hopefully will be useful to other peoples
like you also.If you would like me to write about something particular, or you
have any suggestion for this site, please use the contact form.
