Netstat command (Podcast)

GRC Security Now! delivers podcasts on the topic of security through their weekly audio security column. The following link is a podcast on the netstat command:
Leo and I describe the operation and use of the universally available "Netstat" command -- available in every desktop operating system from Unix and Linux through Windows and Macs. "Netstat" allows anyone to instantly see what current Internet connections and listening ports any system has open and operating. Mastering the power of this little-known command will greatly empower any security-conscious computer user.
The website offers the content in various formats: higher and lower quality podcasts, supplementary notes, and a transcript in HTML, text only, or PDF format.

As of the date of this post, this is podcast #49 out of 112! This is an amazing website because each episode (like the one cited above) has six different resource formats:
  1. High quality 64 kbps mp3 audio file
  2. Quarter size, bandwidth-conserving, 16 kbps (lower quality) mp3 audio file
  3. A web page with any supplementary notes
  4. A web page text transcript of the episode
  5. A simple text transcript of the episode
  6. Ready-to-print PDF (Acrobat) transcript
(Note that the text transcripts will appear a few hours later than the audio files since they are created afterwards.)

You can subscribe to the ongoing series as an "RSS podcast" in order to have them automatically downloaded to you as they are produced. Alternatively, you can just get a simple email reminder.
